GM Leasing has never been better. For the month of June, there are 6 cars rated in the top-10: Starting with the Chevrolet Malibu, the new Buick Envision AWD, Chevy Cruze and Buick Regal, Chevrolet has a total of five lease deals with LVRs at or below 1.00% which is considered Excellent or Exceptional based on my online Car Lease Evaluator. The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu can be leased for an average monthly payment of just $206.72 for 39 months. With an MSRP of $24,660, that gives the Malibu an LVR of just 0.84%, one of the best ever. But, it gets even a little better than that for current GM. According to the offer on the Chevrolet Website Lease Deals, Current GM Lessees do not need the $500, reducing the LVR to just 0.79%!
What’s not so Great about Leasing in June?
True to my word from last week, I’ve included a few, over-the-top, ridiculously expensive cars to lease. The most expensive and bottom of the list for value is the 2016 Mercedes Benz S550 4Matic which retails for $121,550 and leases for $1,699.00 per month with $8,993.00 for 36 months. I will continue to assume that cars such as these have a great deal of negotiating room. If I were in the market to lease such a car, I would set the target payment at a 1.00% LVR which is $1,215.00 per month. Remember, no matter what payment you set your sites on the dealer is going to counter your offer with something much higher, hoping to get you meet him somewhere in between. I would tell the dealer that my top payment for this car is $999.00 per month and let him wiggle his way up to $1,215.00. Anything within $100 of that range would be a great lease deal.
