Much Better Lease Offers on 2012 Models
I leased a 2012 Honda Accord SE From my local Honda Dealer, Ralph Schomp, for $219.00 a month and nothing down. The Accord SE is the Special Edition model that they release at the end of the 5 year life cycle. It is much like the LX, but comes with Alloy Wheels and heated leather seats. The Accord SE has an MSRP of $24,800. The lease term is for 36 months. At about that time, the 2013 -2015 models should have good established residual values, allowing for much better leases. These close-out, or subvented lease deals are unbeatable. The Lease Value Ratio on the Accord SE is just .88%. This is just one of the many examples as to why you should always ask your dealer for a better deal.

Can you let me know a little more about this deal? Did you roll in all taxes and fees or did you pay them up front. My tax rate is 8% and I am being told around $275 for an Accord SE.
Hi, Josh:
The $219.00 is before taxes. In my local region of Colorado where I live, that means, you’d figure-in about 7.6% to the payment. Monthly, that’s around $237.00 with taxes.
I used my ’97 BMW for a trade, and applied $2,000 towards the payment..And got $800 back in cash to help with registration fees (that cost me about $447.00). My payment with taxes is $174.00.
Not all dealers will offer the same deal. It depends on their inventory – what they have left and how motivated they are to push the new 2013 models.
I will say that the 2012 SE is a sweet car for the price. Very well made, balanced, strong engine for a 4-Cylinder with plenty of pep.. So far, I’m not too excited about teh gas mileage. I am getting slightly under 23MPG, with about 80/20 City/HWY miles.. Can’t go wrong with this deal, though. Negotiate. I’d say anything under $250 is a great deal for this car.
Thanks for the info. Strange you are getting such low gas mileage. I am starting to look a little late in the game as the lower model 2012′s are vanishing quickly.
After looking at the numbers $275 is about right as taxes and fees would come to around $45 (sales tax and acquisition fee) and I wanted 15k miles which would add another $15 or so. So $219 plus $45 and $15 comes to $279.
The 2012 Accord gave me excellent gas mileage on my recent trip to Arkansas. I averaged about 34 on the highway. The 23/34 rating seems pretty accurate. And my 23MPG that I was getting is probably a reflection of mostly city driving. Maybe it gets better after time.
Yes, those numbers add up to a great deal. I’m very impressed with the car. With 4 people and a trunk full of suit cases, the Accord had plenty of power and great fuel economy. I highly recommend.
