When it comes New Car Leasing,  SUV Lease Deals are a bit more difficult to find than traditional cars. This is because even the Cheapest SUV costs more than an economical 2wd sedan or coupe. The other factor preventing Cheap SUV Lease Deals is gas mileage. As fuel become more expensive, residual values on the SUV continue to drops. Fortunately, the cheapest SUV is usually the one with the 4-cylinder, economical engine; giving you the opportunity to lease one for a low monthly payment. For three out of the last 12 months, the Toyota RAV4 topped the Monthly Lease Offers, for just $199.00 a month and $1199 – $1499 down. Since the fuel-efficient, 4-Cylinder RAV4 has been out on the streets 3-4 years, it’s established itself as a reliable, Cheap SUV with a high resale value. There is no Cheaper SUV on the market with a Lease Offer as attractive as the Toyota RAV4. Still, while an MSRP of $24,000 may seem inexpensive for a very basic SUV, you can get a fully equipped FWD family sedan or coupe for that same price range. So, unless you’re in the market for a Cheap SUV, you can expect a higher lease payment than you could get on a sedan or coupe with a similar MSRP. This doesn’t mean there are not some great SUV Lease Deals out there. It just means we have to be realistic at what we’re expecting to pay.

Finding the Best SUV Lease Deals

The Best SUV Lease Deals are usually more expensive than the Best Car to Lease. In some cases, it makes more sense to buy an SUV with 0%, 1.9% or 2.9% financing deals on up to 60 months. Relative to new car leasing, the Best SUVs in terms of overall sales still offer the most competitive monthly payment. Remember, price is relative. So, to keep things simple, I’ve placed the SUV Lease Deals into four categories: Cheapest: $20,000 – $29,000, Cheaper: $30,000 – $39,000, Moderate: $40,000 – $49,000 and Expensive: $50,000 and up. The Cheap and Cheapest SUV Lease Deals are posted below. Moderate and Expensive models will be posted in an upcoming December SUV With 3rd Row Seating Column.

Cheapest SUV Deals

Without Question, the Toyota RAV4 is the best SUV Lease Deal going in the ‘cheapest’ category. However, Mazda offers the best purchase financing with their 0% loan on the CX-7 for up to 60 months. If you’re not going to lease an SUV, go with the Mazda.

Expired SUV Deal by Volkswagen.

Up until November 30th, you could lease a Volkswagen Tiguan S with 0-Down for 36 months and a payment of $329.00 a month. So far, Volkswagen hasn’t announced the December Lease deals, so check back soon.

It is unfortunate that these more expensive SUVs tend to not lease so well either. The best LVR (Lease Value Ratio) of the group, belongs to the Toyota Highlander at 1.25%.  By comparison, the RAV4 LVR is around 1.03%. You’d be better off buying the Mazda CX-7 and the Acura RDX. The CX7 has .9% 60 month financing and the Acura RDX offers 1.9%, 60 month financing. If you can afford a $500 – $600 monthly payment, these worthy SUVs will be worth your low-interest investment after 5 years.  If you do decide to lease an SUV from the “Cheaper” Category, insist on putting no-money down. Down Payments really defeat the purpose of a lease. For that matter, they also defeat the purpose of a .9% or 1.9%, 60-month loan.  Why put your hard, cold cash down up-front when you can spread it over 60 months at such a low interest rate? At the time of this writing, some of these SUV Deals expired in November, but the type of financing on these SUVs has been pretty consistent from month to month. The December Lease Deals have not been announced yet,  so check back soon.

Moderate and Expensive SUV Lease Deals will be posted in December

The latest in SUV lease deals can be found regularly on Monthly Car Lease.
