For the April 2010 Car Lease Specials we have a couple of firsts:
- First time one auto maker has dominated the top-5. Toyota models have placed a perfect trifecta with the Rav4, Camry and Corolla, placing 1, 2 and 3
- First time we've seen an LVR below 1%. Since, Monthly Car Lease and Product Review Ratings started presenting these monthly lease specials, no car has ever had an LVR (Lease Value Ratio) below 1%. The RAV4's .96 LVR makes it the best lease value we've seen since publishing these Car Lease Ratings on a monthly basis back in December of 2008.What makes the deal on the Toyota RAV4 even more exceptional is the fact that so few SUVs rank near the top in these lease ratings. The RAV4 leases for just $199.00 a month with $1299 down, including first month payment. With an MSRP (List Price) of $24,019.00, the RAV4 offers outstanding value for the money: A 4-Wheel Drive SUV with FWD Fuel Economy; traction control, ABS, 5-passenger seating and mid-size SUV cargo room. The RAV4 not only looks sporty, but owners love the way it handles on both dry and wet, slippery roads. If you are in the market for an SUV, you can't go wrong with a lease on the Toyota RAV4. If you would rather drive a sedan, you can lease a 2010 Camry for $199 a month and $1199 down or a 2010 Corolla for just $169 per month and $1099 down. Toyotas have been consistently at the top of these lease rankings month after month. I left them out of the March rankings because much of their Lease Specials were carry-overs from February; but they stepped up to the plate in a big-way this April.In other good car leasing news, Honda has continued the 0-down leasing specials on its Accords and Civics and Mazda has extended the 0-Down, low monthly payments of it's 3-series, 6-series and 5-door models. By the way, there is no reason you can't lease the Toyota Rav4 with no money down too - just ask your dealer. My handy iPhone Car Lease Calculator projects that a 0-Down lease on the Toyota RAV4 would yield a monthly payment around $235-$240. With the economy still sagging and dealers licking their chops for sales, I would ask the dealer for the $199.00 monthly payment and NO MONEY down. What have you got to lose? You can't possibly end up with anything less than a great deal even if they say, no.BMW Car Leasing is with mixed results for April. The BMW 550i is unusually expensive; requiring an $809 per month payment and a huge $6,184.00 down payment. On the brighter side, the BMW 335i Convertible can be acquired for a $499.00 lease payment with $5,324.00 Down. The BMW 335i is ranked # 7 for April Car Lease Specials.
Bottom Line: If you want something so practical that it's exciting; go to your Toyota Dealer and take a look at a RAV4, Camry or Corolla.
